#N400 Updates


On Dec. 1, 2020 the number of civics questions increased from 10 to 20 and the number needed to pass officially increased from six to 12. From an N-400s applicant’s --optimistic or pessimistic— perspective this can be viewed as good or bad. What is still objectively hard to absorb is the proposed increase in filing fees.

And yes, for the English written portion of the exam you need to have good handwriting. Illegible handwriting is not acceptable.
